A variety of protests in London, North Carolina, and Washington state will take place in August aimed at some of the world's heaviest polluters. Targets include a Heathrow airport expansion, a proposed natural gas terminals, and coal and nuclear power plants.
An increase in this kind of action would be a nice companion to the widely expanding personal efforts to reduce energy consumption on a small scale.
