Cop Tasers Emotionally Diturbed Man, Man Dies, Cop Gets Promotion

I guess this is what it takes to get ahead in the NYPD.

The officer who shocked a man perched on a fire escape, who then fell to his death on the sidewalk, was promoted to Detective a couple weeks after the incident. The incident took place last September in Bed-Stuy. The Lieutenant who actually ordered the tasering committed suicide a few days after the incident.
