Expectations

Check any of the mainstream media news outlets and you'll read this morning how Sarah Palin's speech at the RNC last night was "a home run" or (even better!) "a grand slam." I like how Sarah Palin can read a speech that SHE DIDN'T EVEN WRITE off of a teleprompter, and now she is suddenly a qualified VP candidate. What a joke.

As a society, it's sad how low our expectations are. We don't need a self-professed "Average Hockey Mom" as second in command. Personally, I want somebody smarter than me running things. We should expect our leaders to be extraordinary individuals. This reminds me of all of the idiots who voted for Bush in 2000 because he seemed like someone they would enjoy having a beer with.

you're sexist!

seriously now, both joe biden and barack obama have taught constitutional law....in a law school...this means, they are experts on the constitution, that could be a good thing. the other two seem to barely have made it out of college...im just saying, college isnt everything. how soon (now!) you want to drill is also pretty important...

John McCain's speech last night was a 2-out, walk-off grand slam in game 7 of the World Series, on an 0-2 count, with his team trailing 3-0. And the opposing pitcher was throwing a perfect game.

In case you were wondering how the bases got loaded: all three batters reached on strike 3 passed balls. That's right, the pitcher had struck out 29 batters in the game - and John McCain took his ass DEEP!
