The 2008 Presidential Election and the 22nd Amendment

Former aid to John Edwards (Edwards dropped out today), Mudcat Saunders said he would do everything he could to ensure that Edwards did not endorse Clinton. During an MSNBC interview he stated two main reasons, one, the Clinton support of NAFTA which has had a wide variety of negative consequences, particularly to the poor and, two, because he said believes in the 22nd Amendment.

What is the 22nd Amendment you might ask? Here's the relevant text,

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.
